Bayou City Blessings In a Backpack

We support Bayou City Blessings in a Backpack with ongoing monetary support in order to provide food for children when they are not in school. Bayou City Blessings mobilizes our local community, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends and during school breaks for Houston children who might otherwise go hungry. Our mission serves to raise awareness of childhood hunger by building community and establishing relationships with our educational partners to improve the lives of Houston children.

Bear – BE A Resource for CPS kids

American Wheel & Tire #2, Ltd hosts a toy drive each year asking our employees and customers to contribute new and unwrapped gifts. We then donate these toys to Bear – BE A Resource which places the toys with children in the CPS system.BEAR…BE A Resource for CPS Kids is a non-profit organization improving lives by providing hope and help for at-risk and CPS-involved children and their caretakers in the Greater Houston Area.

AWT Blessings

American Wheel & Tire provides a gift card to a local restaurant to families chosen through Communities In Schools (CIS), to provide them with their holiday meal. Our goal is to allow the family to have a stress-free, sit-down meal together to celebrate the holiday. CIS has served at-risk students in the Greater Houston Area since 1979. CIS is a campus-based, nonprofit organization providing direct services and resources to under-served children with unmet needs. By surrounding them with a community of support, CIS empowers students to stay in school and achieve in life.
