What Is Powder Coating?
Powder coating is a dry finishing process that produces a high-quality, durable, and decorative coating that is resistant to the wear and tear of the elements while providing a limitless array of colored powders. This makes it perfect for any off-road vehicle. The powder coat itself is comprised of polymer resin, curatives, pigments, and other strengthening additives that are grounded down into a flour-like powder. The powder can then be applied to either metallic or non-metallic materials like plastics and fiberboard. After the powder coat is applied to the desired parts it then goes through a curing process where the newly coated parts are exposed to intense heat through curing ovens. The final product is an attractive finish that is resistant to scratches, moisture, fading, corrosion, and wear and tear.
